2 weeks left of school! amazing. looking forward to the break. it's been a good year. it's been fun seeing the kids using what they were taught. Looking forward to next year. i always have the hope of being more organized, being to teach the one - all they things that i have a hard time doing. I'm always glad for new beginnings. Even Mondays.
Wednesday all of the first grade is going to the Corona del Mar (actually, Little Corona) tidepools. I think the teachers are as excited as the students. Some of the students are a little scared. Some have never been to the ocean before and are not sure what to expect. It'll be fun.
We have a new addition to our house - she chews. and chews. Chenza is very calm, doesn't shake when there is noise or anything. A very sweet dog. and she loves Stephanie. It's pretty fun.
Notes from Stake conf.
How to build the ward: pray for a change in work schedule for those who work on Sunday. Invite people. Pray for active members to move into our ward. Remember it's a day of miracles.
The youth told Pres. Chandler these things that they would like their families to do for them: listen to them. See their point of view. Pray together. Do family stuff. Be happy. Feel the Spirit at home like they do at church.
The Lord will help us if we choose to enlist his aid.
From Pres. Brown. The family is the protection from the world. Strong families start with a strong marriage. If the marriage is not good, the children pay a price. We need daily family prayer to call down the powers of heaven.
Time and time again - do the little things - pray, read your scriptures, hold family home evening. Have much fun.
Some choices we make crack open the door for Satan.
